Subject: Availability of the Updated Federal Perkins Data Provider Instructions
We are pleased to announce the availability of an update to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Federal Perkins Data Provider Instructions. The manual provides information on reporting requirements for the Federal Perkins Loan Program and is intended to assist data providers with the processes used to add or update Federal Perkins loans on NSLDS.
The updated Federal Perkins Data Provider Instructions (dated November 2014) replace the instructions posted in October 2007, and include information from Federal Perkins Technical Updates that have been posted in the interim. We encourage schools and servicers to review the updated instructions, to ensure all data providers have a complete and accurate knowledge of current reporting processes.
The updated Federal Perkins Data Provider Instructions are now available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, in the NSLDS Reference Materials section.
