Subject: Gainful Employment Electronic Announcement #49 - Updated Gainful Employment Information Page
In 2011, we established on our Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website a special Gainful Employment Information Page to support our efforts to ensure that all institutions that participate in the Title IV student assistance programs have easy access to the most current information on the gainful employment regulatory requirements and the Department’s implementation plans. Yesterday, we updated that page and re-named it “Gainful Employment Information Page 2014.” Information that was no longer relevant was removed so this page will continue to have the most current information regarding the gainful employment requirements.
The Gainful Employment Information Page 2014 will continue to include links to relevant Federal Register notices, a section for Dear Colleague Letters and Electronic Announcements, a section for Webinars and other Presentations, a listing of Frequently Asked Questions with Answers, and other Resources.
The new page can be accessed either by clicking on the words ”Information Page” in the Gainful Employment box on the right-hand side of the IFAP home page or by going directly to: http://www.ifap.ed.gov/gainful-employment-information/06-22-2014-subject-gainful-employment-information-page.
Institutions who wish to access the information on the Archived GE Information Page can do so at: http://www.ifap.ed.gov/gainful-employment-information/03-27-2013-subject-gainful-employment-information-page.
In addition, the Department is in the process of regulating all aspects of the gainful employment provisions, including reporting requirements, eligibility metrics, and disclosure requirements. More information on that rulemaking process is available on the Office of Postsecondary Education Web site.
We hope this special information page is useful and provides easy access to important gainful employment information.
