Subject: Gainful Employment Electronic Announcement #48 - Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Gainful Employment
On March 14, 2014, the Department released a pre-publication copy of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to establish measures for determining whether certain postsecondary educational programs prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation.
Today, March 25, 2014, the NPRM on Gainful Employment was published in the Federal Register [79 FR 16426]. Comments on the proposed regulations may be submitted through regulations.gov. Comments must be received no later than May 27, 2014. We have attached a pdf copy of today’s NPRM to this announcement.
