Subject: Recruitment Announcement - Regional Training Officer Positions

The U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid is recruiting to fill positions of Regional Training Officer. The incumbent will:

  • Design, develop, and deliver learning products to Federal Student Aid’s external partners and staff;

  • Have and maintain expert knowledge of the Title IV programs;

  • Identify and analyze external partner learning needs through training performed for schools and the financial aid community; and

  • Translate the identified learning needs into learning solutions.

Federal Student Aid is the largest organization within the U.S. Department of Education with approximately 1,200 employees located in Washington, DC and in 10 regional offices throughout the United States. Federal Student Aid is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation, providing billions each year in grants, loans, and work-study funds to 15 million students attending college or career school. Federal Student Aid is also responsible for managing or overseeing $948 billion in outstanding loans—representing 163 million student loans to more than 38 million borrowers. There are approximately 6,200 active institutions of postsecondary education.
