Subject: Resolution of NSLDS Delinquent Borrower Issue
On January 6, 2014, the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) briefly identified some loans as delinquent that should not have been. As a result, the NSLDS School Portfolio Report and the NSLDS Delinquent Borrower Report incorrectly identified these borrowers as being delinquent. The Loan Detail page on the NSLDS Professional Access Web site also incorrectly identified these borrowers as being delinquent.
The issue was resolved on January 8, 2014 and NSLDS reports generated on or after that date will provide an accurate detail of delinquent borrowers, as will the Loan Detail Web page. For reports requested as a fixed length extract, where the header date time on the report returned is after the values given below, the file was processed after the fix was put in place:
-
Header Date Time for Delinquent Borrower Report = ‘20140108170000000000’
-
Header Date Time for School Portfolio Report = ‘20140107151921198738’
For reports requested between January 6th and 7th, 2014, where the header date time stamp is prior to the dates above, the NSLDS user should submit another request on the NSLDS Professional Access Web site.
