Subject: Experimental Sites Initiative - Reminder of Deadline
On December 4, 2013, the Department published Dear Colleague Letter GEN-13-24. That letter solicited ideas for experiments to test alternative approaches for the administration of the Federal student financial assistance programs as a part of the Department of Education’s ongoing Experimental Sites Initiative.
Through this effort, we expect to develop creative experiments that align with the President’s plan to promote innovations that increase quality and reduce costs, while strengthening the programmatic and fiscal integrity of the Title IV, HEA programs.
This is a reminder that the deadline for submissions is January 31, 2014. We encourage institutions to submit ideas for new experiments consistent with the procedures outlined in GEN-13-24.
