Subject: U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid Launches Financial Aid Toolkit

In an effort to support counselors, college access professionals, and individuals at community-based organizations helping students and families prepare financially for college or career school, Federal Student Aid created the Financial Aid Toolkit. This online toolkit, available at FinancialAidToolkit.ed.gov, consolidates financial aid resources and content into a searchable online database, making it easy for individuals to quickly access the information they need to support their students.

The toolkit provides access to resources covering the entire financial aid lifecycle from applying for financial aid to repaying student loans and includes documents such as financial aid event materials, presentations, brochures, videos, and sample tweets and Facebook posts. The toolkit also offers professional development information such as training opportunities and resources for self-instruction.

This initiative supports the Administration’s ongoing efforts to improve college access and affordability by making it easy for counselors and mentors to share accurate and consistent information about financial aid.

We encourage you to take advantage of this new resource and share it with other organizations in your community that interact with students and their families preparing for college or career school.
