Subject: 2013-2014 ISIR Guide (July 2013 Update)
We are pleased to announce the posting of an update to the 2013-2014 ISIR Guide. The ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) in interpreting student information on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). ISIRs contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) financial aid history information. ISIRs are sent electronically to institutions by the Central Processing System (CPS).
The July 2013 update contains minor revisions to Appendix C to add two new Federal Loan Servicer codes. We also updated Appendix D to revise the text that prints on the Student Aid Report (SAR) and SAR Acknowledgement if specific college code fields are non-blank. For more information on the revisions, consult the tracking log of changes posted with the guide or Appendix F in the updated guide.
In addition to its current availability on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, the updated guide will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov.
