Subject: Upcoming Enhancements to MyStudentData Download on NSLDS
We are pleased to announce that on January 27, 2013, "MyStudentData Download" functionality will be enhanced on the NSLDS Student Access Web site. As previously described in an August 16, 2012 electronic announcement, posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, MyStudentData Download (previously referred to as the MyData Button) allows students to download their loan, grant, enrollment, and overpayment information from the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) into a machine-readable, plain text file.
In an ongoing effort to provide students with their most current and helpful data, the downloadable file will be updated to include the following fields:
File Source
File Request Date
Loan Award ID
Loan Attending School OPEID
Loan Interest Rate
Loan Repayment Plan Begin Date
Loan Repayment Plan Scheduled Amount
Grant Attending School OPEID
Overpayment Attending School OPEID
We have posted an updated NSLDS MyStudentData Download file layout to the NSLDS Record Layouts page on the IFAP Web site. This document defines the layout of the file that students will be able to download from NSLDS Student Access and assists software vendors with designing new tools for students to maximize the usefulness of the data.
