Subject: Availability of NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Information and Documentation
On June 24, 2012, we implemented enhancements to the Enrollment Reporting process in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
We described the enhancements for schools and students in Newsletter 39: NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Enhancements, posted to the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site on July 6, 2012. Newsletter 39 described the new file format choices, Enrollment Administrator options, the new location field, the addition of reporting for Federal Pell Grant and Federal Perkins Loan recipients, new data items, student address reporting, and related enhancements to the NSLDS Student Access Web site.
We are now pleased to announce the availability of several new documents, providing important information about the NSLDS Enrollment Reporting process:
- Newsletter 40: NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Enhancements, Part 2, including information on the new spreadsheet upload process, the enrollment certification monitoring tools, and additional reminders regarding enrollment changes;
- Enrollment Reporting Certification Report Extract File Layout (SCHER4), the file layout for the new Enrollment Reporting Certification Report, described in Newsletter 40;
- The updated NSLDS Enrollment Reporting Guide, a comprehensive document containing step-by-step instructions for reporting enrollment, using both the batch and online options.
Note: As described in Newsletter 40, instructions for the new Enrollment Spreadsheet Submittal upload process, along with the Enrollment Spreadsheet Submittal Format, will be posted in early December 2012 to the "Software and Associated Documents" section of the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site. Please monitor the FSAdownload Web site for this important information.
