Subject: SAIG Upgrade - Release of EDconnect 8.3 and Updated TDClient 3.2 Software
We are pleased to announce the availability of EDconnect 8.3 and an updated version of TDClient 3.2 on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSADownload) Web site.
EDconnect 8.3 replaces EDconnect 8.2. It is highly recommended that users upgrade to EDconnect 8.3 to address the issues identified below. Previous versions of EDconnect will no longer be supported.
The following software corrections have been implemented with EDconnect 8.3:
Updates have been applied to resolve EDconnect intermittent aborts during transmissions.
The EDconnect default install option has been changed from “Local Install” to “Local Install – Custom”. This change will prevent users from accidently overwriting their current EDconnect configuration and the deletion of activity logs when upgrading the EDconnect software.
The following software corrections have been implemented with the updated TDClient 3.2 release:
Updates have been applied to TDClient AIX and TDClient for Windows to resolve intermittent aborts during transmissions.
