Subject: Potential Impact to Customer Service Hours Due to Hurricane Sandy

As the community is aware, Hurricane Sandy is bearing down on the east coast. Depending on location and storm impact, some of our Title IV call centers may need to close early or completely today, October 29, 2012, and/or over the next few days. All of our call centers in the path of the storm will do their best to implement contingency plans and remain open as much as possible; however, safety is of primary importance and may necessitate temporary closures.

At this time, we do not anticipate impact to Central Processing System (CPS) processing, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System processing, or Web site availability. If there is impact, we will inform the community through an Electronic Announcement on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site at the earliest point possible.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this period.
