Subject: OUTAGE ALERT - Access and Identity Management System (AIMS) Outage Scheduled for October 20, 2012
On October 20, 2012, we plan to execute extended system maintenance and operating system upgrades that will impact several Federal Student Aid Web sites and systems. This work is in addition to the regular weekly maintenance that occurs each weekend.
This announcement provides information about the systems and Web sites that will be affected during the extended maintenance period. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the period when the affected Web sites will be unavailable.
Access and Identity Management System (AIMS) Outage from 5:00 A.M. (ET) until 6:45 P.M. (ET) Saturday, October 20, 2012
From 5:00 A.M. until 6:45 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, October 20, 2012, the AIMS will be unavailable. Users attempting to log in to any of the systems/Web sites behind AIMS during this period will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found or that the site is unavailable due to maintenance.
The systems/Web sites that are currently behind AIMS and will be unavailable during the outage time are as follows:
e-Campus-Based (eCB)
eCDR Appeals
FAA Access to CPS Online
National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) Professional Access
Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment
