Subject: SAIG Host Communication Guide (August 2012 Update)

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new version of the SAIG Host Communication Guide on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov. The new version of the Host Communication Guide includes an updated list of supported operating systems for TDClient 3.2.

Recently, we learned that certain TDClient 3.2 users encountered problems when they attempted to log in to the software. Errors were generated due to use of an unsupported operating system. In follow up, we have evaluated and updated the supported operating system information in the Host Communication Guide.

The updates to the supported operating systems for TDClient 3.2 are as follows:

  • The list of supported Linux platforms was updated by adding Ubuntu and CentOS.

  • The list of supported HP-UX platforms was updated to reflect the only two supported platforms – 11i v2(11.23) and 11i v3(11.31).

Note: Only the PA-RISC processor is supported.

  • The list of supported OS/400 platforms was updated by removing 6.i and adding 6.i +.

For the complete list of supported platforms, refer to the SAIG Host Communication Guide.
