Subject: Launch of and Social Media Tools

This week, Federal Student Aid launched a new streamlined website,, as well as several new social media properties that will make it easier for students, parents, and borrowers to navigate the financial aid process. These new resources offer more than just information in an easy-to-read format; they also feature interactive tools, such as videos and infographics, to help answer the most frequently asked questions about financial aid. is the first step of a multi-phase project to develop a single point of entry for students accessing federal student aid information, applying for federal aid, repaying student loans, and navigating the college decision-making process. It is also completely accessible on tablets and smartphones.

The social media properties on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter offer students, parents, and borrowers another option to interact with Federal Student Aid to learn about the student aid process. The website and social media properties also introduce a new look-and-feel for Federal Student Aid, which was tested with students, parents, borrowers and schools.
