Subject: Consolidation of Federal Student Aid Websites

Federal Student Aid is simplifying the way we interact with students, parents and borrowers. We're consolidating content from three student websites— Student Aid on the Web (www.studentaid.ed.gov), our Ombudsman website (www.ombudsman.ed.gov), and the Federal Student Aid Gateway (www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov)—into one new website. In mid-July we will launch StudentAid.gov, a streamlined website with improved content and interactive tools.

We will provide a seamless transition by automatically redirecting visitors from these three sites to the relevant information on StudentAid.gov. To minimize inconvenience, we will keep the redirects in place for at least one year after the launch. After we launch StudentAid.gov, we will publish a list of the most commonly used links to help you plan and update your customer communications.

We will continue to update you on this new and exciting student and parent resource. We encourage you to visit the new StudentAid.gov site later this month.
