Subject: Program Integrity Questions and Answers (Q&A) Website Update-Verification and Update on Verification Worksheets
As described in E-Announcement 2011-09-02, the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) maintains a website containing Q&As pertaining to the Program Integrity final regulations that were published on October 29th, 2010. OPE recently updated this website with regard to verification.
In order to view these updates, please visit the website http://www2.ed.gov/policy/highered/reg/hearulemaking/2009/integrity-qa.html, click on the applicable topic, and look for the “New” icon next to the Questions and Answers that have been revised or added.
In addition, in the coming days we will post two sample worksheets—one for dependent students and one for independent students—that institutions may use to verify the information used to determine an applicant’s eligibility for federal student aid for the 2012-13 award year.
If you have any questions about the information on the program integrity Q&A website, please contact Jessica Finkel at Jessica.Finkel@ed.gov or 202-502-7647.
