Subject: OUTAGE ALERT--Federal Student Aid Web Site and System Outages Scheduled for August 27-28, 2011
During the period August 27-28, 2011, we plan to execute extended Web site maintenance and operating system upgrades to several Federal Student Aid Web sites in addition to our routine maintenance that occurs each weekend.
This announcement provides information about the Web sites that will be affected during the extended maintenance period. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the period when the affected Web sites will be unavailable.
We apologize for the short notice about these outages; however, it is important that we complete the work this weekend.
Web Site Impact from Noon (ET) Saturday, August 27, 2011 until 11:00 A.M. (ET) Sunday, August 28, 2011
From Noon (ET) on Saturday, August 27, 2011 until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on Sunday, August 28, 2011, users will be unable to access many of our Web sites. Users attempting to access an impacted Web site during this period will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found or that the site is unavailable due to maintenance.
