Subject: TEACH Grant Exit Counseling Now Available on NSLDS
In a June 3, 2011 electronic announcement posted to the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, we informed the community that during the period of July 23-24, 2011, Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Exit Counseling would be retired from the Direct Loan Servicing Online Web site. We also informed the community that the new home of TEACH Grant Exit Counseling would be the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
We are pleased to announce that TEACH Grant Exit Counseling is now available on the NSLDS Student Access Web site for students, and corresponding enhancements to the NSLDS Professional Access Web site are now available for schools. The addition of TEACH Grant Exit Counseling to NSLDS means that we now offer a full range of exit counseling tools in one location.
TEACH Grant Exit Counseling, available from the NSLDS Student Access home page through a secure logon process, is described in NSLDS Newsletter 33, posted to the IFAP Web site. The newsletter also provides complete information about expanded reporting tools on the NSLDS Professional Access Web site related to the new TEACH Grant Exit Counseling functionality.
In addition, we have posted NSLDS Record Layouts on the IFAP Web site to provide technical information about TEACH Grant Exit Counseling reports for schools.
Please refer to NSLDS Newsletter 33 and the newly-posted record layouts for a complete description of TEACH Grant Exit Counseling on NSLDS.
