Subject: Delayed Release of New Versions of TDClient and EDconnect
TDClient and EDconnect are software products used by Federal Student Aid and its partners to send and receive Title IV data transmissions securely over the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG). These software products are elements of an integrated solution for file transfer from one SAIG destination point to another.
We conducted beta testing in the fall of 2010 in anticipation of an upcoming release of new versions of TDClient, including TDClient for Windows, Unix, Sun Solaris, MVS/zOS, AIX, AS400, and Linux. At that time, we also began providing information to the community about an upcoming release of EDconnect 8.0.
We regret the need to delay the release of the new versions of TDClient and EDconnect 8.0. We do not currently have a release date but will provide this information to the SAIG community as soon as possible.
Note: We will continue to support the current versions of EDconnect and TDClient. When we announce the release of the new versions, we will also provide information about a schedule to ensure all SAIG users upgrade their client software in a reasonable period of time.
