Subject: Federal Student Aid Web Site Outages October 2-3, 2010

During the period October 2-3, 2010, we plan to execute extended Web site maintenance and operating system upgrades in addition to our routine Web site maintenance that occurs each weekend.

This announcement provides information about the Web sites that will be affected during the extended maintenance period. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the period when the affected Web sites will be unavailable.

Web Site Impact from 6:00 PM Saturday through 11:00 AM Sunday

From 6:00 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, October 2, 2010 until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on Sunday, October 3, 2010, users will be unable to access many of our Web sites. Users attempting to access an impacted Web site during this period will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found.
