Subject: EDExpress for Windows 2010-2011, Release 4.0 Software Reposted to FSAdownload Web Site to Resolve Installation Issue

We would like to alert users of the EDExpress for Windows 2010-2011 software that we reposted Release 4.0 on the Department's Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov, on July 21, 2010. Release 4.0 was originally posted to the FSAdownload Web site on July 12, 2010.

We recently discovered that the full installation process for the version of Release 4.0 that was posted on July 12, 2010 did not load the correct 2010-2011 Federal Pell Grant payment and disbursement schedules, which are used by the software to calculate Pell Grant awards in the Packaging and Pell modules.

EDExpress 2010-2011 users who upgraded to Release 4.0 from a prior EDExpress 2010-2011 version (i.e., Release 3.0) by performing a custom installation are not impacted by this issue and do not need to install the updated Release 4.0 posted to the FSAdownload Web site on July 21, 2010.

If you performed a full installation of Release 4.0 between July 12 and July 20, 2010, contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support for further assistance updating your EDExpress 2010-2011 database to include the correct 2010-2011 Pell schedules.
