Subject: Issue Update – StudentLoans.gov Web Site Now Available

In an Electronic Announcement posted earlier today, March 29, 2010, we reported issues with the StudentLoans.gov Web site. It was necessary to make the Web site unavailable to users for a short period of time while we investigated these issues.

At approximately 4:00 P.M. (ET) today, we resumed StudentLoans.gov Web operations. Users may again access all areas and services available on the Web site; however, they may experience intermittent issues, such as slow response time, when using the site. We have posted a message about the intermittent issues on the Web site.

We are continuing our work to fully resolve the issues affecting the StudentLoans.gov Web site and will provide another status update on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

Note Regarding COD Web Site Use: The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) Web site continues to be available to users. As we complete system maintenance work related to resolving the StudentLoans.gov Web site issues, users may encounter the unavailability of some COD Web site search functionality. If this happens, a user will receive a message that the functionality is unavailable. We do not expect these outages to be long in duration.

We apologize for the inconvenience to our school and StudentLoans.gov customers and, again, will post additional updates through Electronic Announcements on the IFAP Web site. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
