Subject: ISSUE ALERT-Connectivity Issues for FSA Web Sites on January 4, 2010
During the morning of Monday, January 4, 2010, we experienced intermittent connectivity issues with many Federal Student Aid Web sites. During this time, users likely received an error message when attempting to connect to a Federal Student Aid Web site.
Connectivity has been restored and no additional issues have been reported since this morning. However, we are still working to identify the root cause of the problem. While we complete this work, we are closely monitoring the status of each Web site and taking steps to mitigate any future outage impact. We will provide an update about this issue through another Electronic Announcement posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site.
