Subject: 2010-2011 Application Processing System Specifications for Software Developers (December 2009 Draft)

Federal Student Aid is pleased to announce the posting of an update to the draft of the Application Processing System Specifications for Software Developers for the 2010-2011 cycle.

In this draft, we revised reject edits 4030-4034 to reflect updated parameters for setting Reject 20. This updated information is based on tax filing requirements recently published by the Internal Revenue Service.

Please note testing of these specifications will not be complete until January 1, 2010. Software developers should be prepared to receive updates to the specifications until that time.

In addition to its current availability on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, the specifications will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov.
