Subject: Publication of Two Title IV Loans NPRMs
We recently published in the Federal Register two Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NRPM). Both NPRMs propose changes to the regulations governing the Title IV student loan programs. One, published July 23, 2009, covers lender and guaranty agency issues. The other, dated July 28, 2009, includes school based issues. PDF copies of the NPRMs are attached to this announcement. They are also available directly on the IFAP website under Federal Registers.
The deadline for submitting comments to the July 23 NPRM is August 24, 2009 while the deadline for submitting comments to the July 28 NPRM is August 27, 2009. Please carefully review the information in the NPRMs for the procedures to be used for the submission and review of comments.
