Subject: Redesigned IFAP Web Site Implemented on November 23, 2008
We are pleased to announce the successful implementation of the reorganized and redesigned Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site on November 23, 2008.
As we previously communicated, the redesigned IFAP Web site offers many new features. In a November 19, 2008 Electronic Announcement on the IFAP Web site, we provided a high-level overview of the site's key features to assist in orienting users to the site. We encourage all users to read the high-level overview.
We plan to post more detailed information about the key features of the redesigned IFAP Web site through a series of announcements during the week of December 8-12, 2008. Each announcement will cover a specific area of the site and will address questions and clarification requests that we receive from users during the first two weeks after implementation.
As reminders...
The new features of the redesigned IFAP Web site include some that previously were available on the Financial Aid Professionals Portal (FAP) Web site (http://fsa4schools.ed.gov). With the inclusion of the FAP features on the redesigned IFAP Web site, we have retired the FAP.
Implementation of the redesigned IFAP Web site will not affect IFAP subscription e-mails. Subscribers will automatically continue to receive these e-mails.
If you have questions about the redesigned IFAP Web site, please submit them to us via the site's Feedback Regarding the IFAP Web Site or My IFAP page or via e-mail to ifap@ed.gov.
We look forward to providing improved service to you through the reorganized and redesigned IFAP Web site.
