Publication Date: June 25, 2008 Author: William Leith, Acting General Manager, Application, Operations and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid Summary: Issue Alert Follow-Up - No Delays in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 CPS Processing on June 24, 2008 Posted on 06-25-2008 In the June 24, 2008 Electronic Announcement posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, Federal Student Aid alerted schools that 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) files might not be delivered to Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailboxes on June 24, 2008, due to system delays related to the relocation of the Federal Student Aid data center. The delay did not occur and all system issues have been resolved. The Central Processing System (CPS) processed and delivered ISIR files on June 24, 2008 as originally described in the May 28, 2008 Electronic Announcement posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site. The planned CPS processing hold occurred, as part of the final implementation of the data center relocation, but it was not subject to additional delays and processing operations are now normal. Please note:
Note: Schools should be prepared to handle larger-than-usual ISIR files generated as a result of the planned CPS processing hold. Importing these ISIR files into your system may require more time and system resources than usual.
