Summary: Issue Alert - CPS Processing May Not Occur on June 24, 2008 Due to System Delays Related to Federal Student Aid Data Center Relocation

Posted on 06-24-2008

Federal Student Aid is alerting schools that 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) files may not be delivered to Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailboxes on June 24, 2008, due to system delays related to the relocation of the Federal Student Aid data center, as described in the May 28, 2008 Electronic Announcement posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site.

As indicated in the May 28, 2008 Electronic Announcement, application and correction data received for processing from June 19 through June 23, 2008 was scheduled to be held for processing until June 24, 2008, due to the data center relocation. The distribution of ISIR data resulting from that processing hold, as well as any data submitted on June 24, 2008, may be delayed.

Note: Schools can continue to submit application and correction files for processing.

We are working diligently to resolve the issues causing the system delays and anticipate resolution of the issues shortly. We will provide a status update on Wednesday, June 25, 2008.
