Summary: Availability of April 2008 Update to 2007-2008 ISIR Guide

Posted on 04-29-2008

Federal Student Aid is pleased to announce the posting of the April 2008 version of the 2007-2008 ISIR Guide. The ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) in interpreting student information on the 2007-2008 version of the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). ISIRs contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) financial aid history information. The Central Processing System (CPS) sends ISIRs electronically to institutions.

For information regarding April 2008 updates to the 2007-2008 ISIR Guide, consult the tracking log of changes posted with the guide.

The updated 2007-2008 ISIR Guide and tracking log of changes are available in PDF format on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://ifap.ed.gov. For readers who are viewing this message electronically on IFAP, the documents are provided as an attachment to this message. Otherwise, to view, print, or download the documents from IFAP, go to http://ifap.ed.gov and click on "Application Processing Materials" from the right side of the home page.

The updated guide and tracking log of changes will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at http://fsadownload.ed.gov, under "Technical References and Guides."
