| Publication Date: November 2, 2007 Author: David Bergeron, Office of Postsecondary Education Summary: Notice of Negotiated Rulemaking Posted on 11-02-2007 On October 11, 2007, we announced the forthcoming publication in the Federal Register of a notice announcing our intention to establish one or two negotiated rulemaking committees to prepare proposed regulations for the student assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA). That announcement incorrectly stated that the deadline date for receiving nominations for negotiators to serve on the negotiating committees is November 9, 2006. The correct deadline date is November 29, 2007. Detailed information on the submission of comments and nominations is included in the Federal Register notice, which was published on October 22, 2007. |
