Publication Date: September 28, 2007 Author: William Leith, Acting General Manager, Application, Operations and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid Summary: Columbus Day Federal Holiday Processing and Customer Service Hours Posted on 09-28-2007 Our Federal offices as well as some of our Title IV processors and call centers will be closed on Monday, October 8, 2007 to observe the Columbus Day Federal holiday. The Central Processing System (CPS) will accept data on Monday, October 8, 2007 but will not process new Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Tuesday, October 9, 2007. The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System will accept and process data from schools and send back responses/acknowledgments on Monday, October 8, 2007, but schools will not be able to receive any Federal funds on that day. Requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Note: We are planning to execute a COD System maintenance activity on Sunday, October 7, 2007 of the holiday weekend. Please refer to the "COD Processing Update" posted on the COD Web site for an explanation of this activity. All Federal Student Aid Web sites will remain operational on the holiday.
