Publication Date: March 19, 2007 Author: William Leith, General Manager, Program Operations Channel, Application, Operations and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid Summary: ISIR Analysis Tool and EDExpress Updates to Reflect 2007-2008 Pell Grant Amounts Posted on 03-19-2007 In an Electronic Announcement posted on February 27, 2007, we informed schools that we had begun the work needed to modify our systems, Web and software products, technical documents, training materials, and publications to reflect the minimum and maximum Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant) amounts for the 2007-2008 Award Year. These amounts were established in the Revised Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2007, (P.L. 110-5). In the February 27th Electronic Announcement and subsequent announcements posted on March 1st, March 6th, and March 16th, we provided schools with information about the impact on the Central Processing System (CPS) and the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System and implementation dates related to these systems. At the time we posted the earlier announcements, we were evaluating options for the updates needed to our school products—the ISIR Analysis Tool and the EDExpress software. We have now completed our evaluation and plan to update these school products as follows: - On March 23, 2007, we plan to update the 2007-2008 ISIR Analysis Tool, available through the FAA Main Menu of the FAA Access to CPS Online Web site, with the 2007-2008 Pell Grant amounts.
- On May 18, 2007, we plan to issue a new software release that updates the appropriate modules in EDExpress for Windows 2007-2008 with the 2007-2008 Pell Grant amounts.
We will communicate the details related to both updates through forthcoming Electronic Announcements on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we evaluated options for updating our school products. If you have any questions regarding these updates, contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support at 800/330-5947 (TDD/TTY 800/511-5806) or by e-mail at CPSSAIG@ed.gov. |
