Kay Jacks, General Manager, Application, Operations and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid Summary: Impact on COD Processing January 13-15, 2007 Posted on 01-05-2007 We are planning to execute two Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System upgrade and maintenance activities during the period January 13-14, 2007. These activities will result in outages of certain COD System functionality for varying periods of time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these important activities. In addition, funding requests will not be processed on January 15, 2007, the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal holiday. Below we explain how these activities and the holiday will impact COD System availability and processing. Please review this information to determine if processing at your school will be affected. COD System Upgrade and Maintenance During the period January 13-14, 2007, we will 1) complete an upgrade of the COD Web site that will improve the internal network environment and 2) perform routine system maintenance on the COD System. In addition, the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) will be unavailable from 3:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on January 14th due to its regular Sunday morning maintenance. Note: Due to the nature of the upgrade work, we will not be able to post an informational message on the COD Web site during the outage. Users attempting to access the COD Web site during the outage will receive a "page not found" or similar error message.
