Federal Student Aid and CPS/SAIG Technical Support would like to announce that the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment Web site (https://www.fsawebenroll.ed.gov) as well as FAA Access to CPS Online (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/FOTWWebApp/faa/faa.jsp) and FAA Enrollment to the eCampus-Based (eCB) Web site (http://cbfisap.ed.gov/CBSWebApp/welcome.jsp) will be unavailable on Saturday, December 16, 2006 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time, so we can implement annual system updates to the SAIG Enrollment system.

Some of these enhancements include:

** Adding functionality that will enable users to enroll for the 2007-2008 processing cycle. Note that users currently enrolled for the 2006-2007 processing cycle will only need to enroll for 2007-2008 if they want to add new services to their enrollment. Users' current 2006-2007 services will automatically be rolled over to 2007-2008.

** Implementing a new CPS Online Services feature that will give institutions that use a third-party servicer the opportunity to enroll in FAA Access to CPS Online. This new enhancement will provide these institutions with the opportunity to enroll for FAA Access to CPS Online services, without having to go through their third-party servicer.

** Removing the eCB Online Enrollment from the FAA Access Enrollment module. Destination Point Administrators who previously requested access for their staff through this module can now direct their staff to https://www.pilot.cbfisap.ed.gov/ecb/CBSWebApp/, click the Login button, then click the eCB registration link. More information regarding this change can be found in Dear Colleague Letter CB-06-14, posted October 25, 2006 to the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://ifap.ed.gov.

The SAIG Enrollment Web site enables users to save incomplete transactions that can be retrieved later and completed. Please be aware that you must retrieve and complete any saved transactions by 6:59 a.m. Central Time on Saturday, December 16. Otherwise, your saved information will be removed in order to avoid any compatibility problems. Listed below are instructions for retrieving any saved data you may have in the SAIG Enrollment database:

1. Click the Restore Saved Enrollment link on the SAIG Enrollment Web site home page.

2. Enter the correct Social Security Number, date of birth, and the password assigned to this transaction when it was saved.

3. Click the Restore tab.
