Posted on 12-04-2006

The U.S. Department of Education is pleased to announce the availability of the 2007-2008 CPS Web Applications Demonstration Site.

This Web site offers 2007-2008 demonstration versions of FAFSA on the Web and the FAA Access to CPS Online Web site. The demonstration site contains most of the features of the production versions of the sites that will be available January 1, 2007, and can be used as a training tool for students, parents, and financial aid staff.

Test student IDs and PINs are available for accessing preloaded renewal application and correction records. These test records can be accessed in both FAFSA on the Web and FAA Access to CPS Online. FAA login information is also available for accessing FAA Access to CPS Online.

The 2007-2008 CPS Web Applications Demonstration site is located at fafsademo.test.ed.gov. The site is password protected. When you go to the site, a login box appears first.

For the User Name (case-sensitive), type: eddemo

For the Password (case-sensitive), type: fafsatest

Actual personal identifying information should not be used on this demonstration site. Also, please note that no data is processed by the CPS. An estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is not calculated after an application is submitted. The EFC value is always 99999 for any test case on the demonstration site. Saved and submitted data is cleared from the database each evening.
