Kay Jacks, General Manager, Application, Operations and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid Summary: Columbus Day Federal Holiday Processing and Customer Service Hours Posted on 09-29-2006 Our Federal offices as well as some of our Title IV processors and call centers will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2006 to observe the Columbus Day Federal holiday. The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System will accept and process data from schools and send back responses/acknowledgments on Monday, October 9, 2006, but schools will not be able to receive any Federal funds on that day. Requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, October 10, 2006. Reminder: In addition to no Federal funds being available on Monday, October 9, 2006, we will be completing our transition to a new financial operating environment. As explained in an Electronic Announcement posted on August 23, 2006 , we expect financial processing backlogged during the transition to be caught up by Thursday, October 12, 2006. The Central Processing System (CPS) will accept data on Monday, October 9, 2006 but will not process new Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Tuesday, October 10, 2006. All Federal Student Aid Web sites will remain operational on the holiday.
