These updates comprise the third of three update installments related to the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (the HERA), Pub. L. 109-171. For a complete list of updates, refer to the "." Notes: 1) For schools with Pell Grant or Direct Loan systems used in combination with EDExpress, we have updated Volume III, Sections 1 through 4, which include the "Combination System Implementation Guide," to reflect processing related to Academic Competitiveness Grants (ACGs), National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grants (National SMART Grants), and Federal Direct PLUS Loans for eligible graduate and professional students. 2) For all schools, we have updated Volume II, Section 1, "Full Participant Implementation Guide," to reflect the use of an Award ID for ACG and National Smart Grant awards. 3) We will return to our regular technical reference posting and update schedule in August 2006. Accordingly, we will post August Updates to the 2006-2007 COD Technical Reference and the Draft 2007-2008 COD Technical Reference in mid August 2006. 4) The 2007-2008 COD Technical Reference will contain information about the ACG and National SMART Grant school reports and remaining edits that we will implement on April 14, 2007.
