This position is located in the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), Application, School Eligibility and Delivery Services (ASEDS), School Eligibility Channel. The area of consideration for this position is "ALL RECRUITING SOURCES" (which includes non-Federal candidates). Vacancy announcement #FSA-2006-0105 is opened concurrently with an area of consideration of "FEDERAL AGENCIES" (status candidates). Candidates with non-competitive eligibility (e.g. Schedule A, VEOA, etc.) may also apply under #FSA-2006-0105. The U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid office is looking for the best and brightest to ensure equal access to postsecondary education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation. There are three Team Leader positions open that are located in Washington, DC within the School Eligibility Channel, specifically the School Participation Teams (Seattle/San Francisco, Philadelphia, or Kansas City). The School Participation Teams monitor and evaluate institutions' compliance with Federal Student Aid requirements, generally have staff both in Washington, DC and in a regional office city. These Team Leader positions require an individual to provide leadership to 6-15 employees that are located in DC and/or in a regional office city. These positions require successful demonstration in the following skills: leadership, Federal Student Aid program knowledge, institutional performance evaluation and financial/fiscal management.
