Summary: Display Error on FAA Access to CPS Online During Student Inquiry Standalone Signature Process

Posted on 04-07-2006

CPS/SAIG Technical Support has discovered a display error on the FAA Access to CPS Online system during the Student Inquiry Standalone Signature Process.

After you select "Submit" when applying an electronic signature for a student and/or parent, an error message appears instead of the "Electronic Signature Confirmation" page. However, even though an error message appears, the signature has been successfully submitted.

If you want to confirm that the signature was submitted correctly you can do so by accessing Student Inquiry a second time and entering the student's information. If you are not presented with the Standalone Signature Process option, this means that the signature has already been submitted.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. The issue will be resolved April 23, 2006 in a maintenance release to the Web site.

If you have any questions about this message, contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support at 800/330-5947 (TDD/TTY 800/511-5806) or by e-mail at CPSSAIG@ed.gov.
