This position is located in the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), Application, School Eligibility and Delivery Services (ASEDS) School Services and Training Channel. The area of consideration for this position is "ALL RECRUITING SOURCES" (which includes non-Federal candidates). The Department of Education is looking for qualified individuals to apply for the newly established Management and Program Analyst position in Bayamon, Puerto Rico for the School Services and Training Channel, Application, School Eligibility and Delivery Services, Federal Student Aid.
Major Duties: Serve as a liaison to postsecondary institutions participating in Title IV programs in Puerto Rico; assist these institutions in the proper administration of Title IV programs; conduct training on Title IV programs; speak before professional associations at conferences; prepare training and resource materials; and establish effective working relationships at the campus level with school officials. The nature of these duties requires the incumbent to possess the ability to communicate fluently (orally and in writing) with the Hispanic community in the native language.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying the unique service needs of Hispanic Serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities, and providing the assistance required to ensure their continued participation in the Federal Title IV programs. To be qualified, a candidate must have experience as a conference presenter or training instructor, using various IT products, such as PowerPoint, to communicate orally on complex , unique and/or controversial Title IV programs and issues, the description of program policy options and recommendations, or the results of research, to both internal and external clients.
