Hurricane Katrina Information

The U.S. Department of Education is committed to assisting students enrolled in postsecondary education who were impacted by last Fall's hurricanes along the Gulf Coast.

Generally, any student who attended a whose term of study was interrupted by Hurricane Katrina or Rita and who did not receive an educational benefit for that term will be relieved of any obligation to repay federal financial aid received to attend that institution for that period of time that was interrupted.
