This position is located in the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), Application, School Eligibility and Delivery Services (ASEDS) School Eligibility Channel. The area of consideration for this position is "ALL RECRUITING SOURCES" (which includes non-Federal candidates). Major Duties: The Team Director, School Participation Team Northwest, is a senior-level position in the Office of Federal Student Aid, Application, School Eligibility and Delivery Services (ASEDS), School Eligibility Channel. The Team Director will ensure, through integrated oversight and management improvement services, that more than $25 billion in federal loan, work and grant financial assistance reaches approximately three million students at 2100 postsecondary schools in the western part of the U.S. each year.

The Team Director manages the work of three geographically dispersed teams with offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Chicago and Washington, DC. The work includes school program reviews, compliance assistance, audit reviews, financial statement analyses, institutional application reviews and school recertification. This position requires outstanding management skills to supervise the work of these teams.

The organization performs enforcement functions that require a person in this position be one who possesses tact and diplomacy and an ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including government agencies, schools, and lending institutions. It requires outstanding communication skills. Knowledge of Federal Student Aid program policy and administration is strongly preferred.
