Summary: Annual FAA Roster Report

Posted on 02-04-2005

On Wednesday, February 9, 2005, FSA and CPS/SAIG Technical Support will place the Annual FAA Roster Report in the mailboxes of specific destination points that transmit data through the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG). This report will assist organizations in monitoring who they have enrolled as FAA Users. As noted in the January 27, 2005 IFAP announcement, the report is being sent under the message class FAARSTRS and can be downloaded from the SAIG with EDconnect.

After reviewing the FAA Roster File, if you find FAA Users that should be deleted, go to the SAIG Enrollment site (http://www.fsawebenroll.ed.gov/) to remove them. Procedures for deleting unneeded FAA Users are provided at the end of this message.

FSA will place the Annual FAA Roster Report in all mailboxes that have FAA users enrolled for either FAA Access to CPS Online or the eCampus-Based (FISAP) on line services. To find out which of your TG numbers will receive the report, log in to the "Review your Organization's mailboxes" feature on the SAIG Enrollment site (http://www.fsawebenroll.ed.gov/). If you transmit CPS and FISAP files with the same TG number, your organization will only receive one report. If your organization is enrolled for CPS and FISAP services under different TG numbers, however, then your organization will receive separate reports. The report lists all of the employees enrolled for access to FAA Access to CPS Online and/or eCampus-Based (FISAP) online services at your organization.

You can download the Annual FAA Roster Report with EDconnect by either performing a request to receive "All Data, All Messages" or by selecting the FAARSTRS message class in the Description column. After you have downloaded the file, the FAA Roster File will appear in your EDconnect Activity Log under the message class of FAARSTRS. You can print the file directly from your Activity Log or using a text editor such as Microsoft Word. To print the file from the Activity Log, double-click on the file name in the File Name field. EDconnect will display the file in a text format so that you can print it.

The printed report displays the following information:

1. TG Number: This is the TG number that transmits CPS and/or FISAP files for your organization.

2. Destination Point Name: This is the name of the organization that is enrolled for CPS and/or FISAP files at your organization.

3. Destination Point Administrator: This is the name of the employee at your organization that is the owner of the TG number that is enrolled for CPS and/or FISAP files at your organization.

4. Secondary Destination Point Administrator: This is the name of the employee of your organization that CPS/SAIG Technical Support has on file as the backup person for the Destination Point Administrator of the TG number that is enrolled for CPS and/or FISAP services. This field will be blank for most destination points since this option has only been available for a few weeks.

5. All the active FAA Users we have on file for your organization. These are the employees at your organization who are currently enrolled for CPS and/or FISAP online services. The owner of the TG number will not be listed as an FAA User. Some organizations will not have any FAA Users listed because only the DPA at your organization is currently enrolled for access to online services.

6. The online service(s) in which the FAA User is currently enrolled.

How to Delete an Existing FAA User

1. Go to the SAIG Enrollment site (http://www.fsawebenroll.ed.gov/) and click the "Enroll FAA Users for Online Services" icon.
