Summary: CPS Reprocessing of Certain 2004-2005 ISIRs

Posted on 01-21-2005

On Wednesday, January 19, 2005, the CPS reprocessed certain 2005-2006 ISIRs due to missing match flags (see electronic announcement "CPS Reprocessing of Certain 2005-2006 ISIRs" dated January 19). The CPS has determined that a small number of ISIRs (fewer than 200) for the 2004-2005 cycle were also generated with missing match flags in some or all of the following 2004-2005 fields:

---DHS Match Flag (ISIR field #250, position 1577)
---Father's/Stepfather's SSN Match Flag (ISIR field #258, position 1626)
---Mother's/Stepmother's SSN Match Flag (ISIR field #260, position 1636)
---Selective Service Match Flag (ISIR field #261, position 1637)
---Selective Service Registration Flag (ISIR field #262, position 1638)
---Student's SSN Match Flag (ISIR field #265, position 1648)
---VA Match Flag (ISIR field #266, position 1649)

On Monday, January 24, 2005, the CPS will reprocess the affected records. As a result of this reprocessing, corrected ISIRs will be generated for institutions listed on the record, and SARs or e-mail notifications will be sent to students whose records have been reprocessed.

Reprocessed ISIRs can be identified by the following:

---Reprocessed Reason Code (ISIR field #148, positions 704-705) will equal "07"
---System-generated Indicator (ISIR field #152, position 709) will equal "Z"
---Comment Code 172 will be present in ISIR field #268, positions 1670-1729
---Reprocessed records will be in the IGSA05OP message class
