The US Department of Education is pleased to announce the posting of the updated 2005-2006 ISIR Guide, dated January 2005. The guide and Tracking Log, which lists the changes, are available in PDF format on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at http://fsadownload.ed.gov, and on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://www.ifap.ed.gov/fafsa-and-sar-materials/01-11-2005-guide-2005-2006-isirs-january-2005-update.

The ISIR Guide is an invaluable reference designed to help Financial Aid Administrators interpret the information contained in electronic Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) returned to schools by the Central Processing System (CPS). The term "ISIR" refers to all processed student information records that are sent electronically directly to institutions by the CPS.
