Date: December 14, 2004
The Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment site (http://fsawebenroll.ed.gov) will be unavailable from 8:00 a.m. Central Time (CT) Saturday, December 18, 2004, until 11:00 p.m. CT Sunday, December 19, 2004, so that we can implement necessary changes. These changes include a redesigned home page and new functionality that enables users to enroll for the 2005-2006 processing cycle.
In addition, for a period of approximately four hours on Saturday, December 18, 2004, you may be unable to access the FAA Access to CPS Online (http://fafsa.ed.gov/faa/faa.htm) and the eCampus-Based (FISAP) Online System (http://cbfisap.ed.gov) Web sites. We anticipate that the system that authenticates your personal information will be unavailable between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. CT on December 18.
Some of the enhancements we are adding to the SAIG Enrollment site are:
* A new "Add another NSLDS Online User" icon on the home page that will make it easier and quicker for already existing destination points to enroll additional users for NSLDS On-line services.
* A new Secondary Destination Point Administrator feature that allows Destination Point Administrators to designate a backup Destination Point Administrator at their organization. This new enhancement grants Secondary Destination Point Administrators the ability to log into the Enrollment site and change the owner of their TG numbers when employees leave their organization.
The current SAIG Enrollment site enables you to save unfinished transactions and complete them at a later time. If you have saved any unfinished transactions, you must retrieve and finish them by 7:59 a.m. CT on Saturday, December 18. At 8:00 a.m. CT, all saved information will be removed to avoid any compatibility issues with the new Enrollment site enhancements. Listed below are instructions for retrieving saved transactions:
1. Click the Restore Saved Enrollment link on the SAIG Enrollment site home page.
2. Enter the correct Social Security Number, date of birth, and the password assigned to this transaction when it was saved.
3. Click on the Restore tab.
