RE: SSCR for Windows, Release 2.0, Password Expiration
DATE: September 7, 2004
For enhanced security, user passwords in SSCR for Windows, Release 2.0, are set to expire every 30 days. The 30-day expiration period is built into the software and cannot be adjusted.
When you log into SSCR with a password older than 30 days, you receive an alert indicating "You must enter a new password." After you click OK to the alert, you are taken to the New Password field on the log-in dialog box, where you must enter a new password. Type the password again in the Verify Password field. You cannot use your current password for your new password.
Once you have entered a new password and verified it, you can log into SSCR as usual.
If you want to check the date you entered your current password, select Tools, Setup, Security Users from the SSCR menu bar. If your user ID is not displayed in the User ID field, click the Retrieve button (above the Help button at the bottom of the Security Users dialog box), select your user ID, and click OK. The Password Date is displayed below the Password field.
