RE: 2005-2006 EDE Technical Reference (Draft) Available

We are pleased to announce the posting of the draft 2005-2006 Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Technical Reference Record Layouts (including the ISIR Record Layout) and 2005-2006 ISIR Cross-Reference on the U.S. Department of Education's Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, located at http://ifap.ed.gov/IFAPWebApp/currentEDEReferencesPag.jsp. The draft record layouts will ultimately become Section 3 of the 2005-2006 EDE Technical Reference. The draft cross-reference will be included in Section 4.

The EDE Technical Reference provides record layouts for schools or other organizations that need to design software systems to interface with the Department's Application Processing Systems in order to process student financial aid applications.

The following layouts are included in this posting:

EDE Record Level Error Report Import Record Layout
ISIR Record Description/Data Dictionary
Type 2 Individual Paper Renewal Request Export and Error Import Record Layout
RAPP PIN/Print Notification Layout
FAFSA Application Export Record Layout
Correction Export Record Layout
Signature Record Export Record Layout

The Cross Reference compares the fields on the 2004-2005 ISIR Record Layout with the fields on the 2005-2006 ISIR Record Layout, and is organized by the 2004-2005 fields.

The 2005-2006 EDE Technical Reference is available in Adobe PDF format only.
