The Office of Federal Student Aid, School Relations Division, is pleased to share with you the 2001-2002 Experimental Sites Initiative Analysis Report. ORC Macro International, Inc. analyzed and prepared the report.

The report examines the performance data submitted by institutions participating in one or more of ten approved experiments for the 2001-2002 academic year. For the first time, the report also includes a comparative analysis of outcomes (graduation, retention, withdrawal, and default) between institutions that do and do not participate in the initiative. A technical appendix accompanies this report and contains more detail concerning the data, variables, and methodologies used in the comparative analyses.

The report and technical appendix can be found at: http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/expsites
